Never underestimate the importance of NOT leaving the Desitin in the crib during naptime
Big mistake. Huge. And who knew it was so hard to get Desitin out of hair: It's like Something About Mary but less gross. And people feel obligated to make clever little "Someone needs a hairbrush" comments.
I had the same thing happen to my son. Who knew he would be so adept at getting the can open. Peneten was everywhere. I almost needed to throw out the clothes.
i feel you! i {well my daughter} did something like that once {only it was a&d}. i will never again underestimate the saying, 'a little goes a long way.' it was on EVERY surface in her room & most horrifyingly on her $100 christmas dress!
Thanks everyone! The effects of that Desitin mess were felt for several days afterwards. And not just in his wild hair. His room reeked for days. And we'd continually find it in new places. One day I leaned against the crib to pick him up and got it all over my pants because there was some lingering between the slats on the side. Beware of the Desitin!

The hair... the hair is just killing me : D
I spent many fruitless hours trying to get the stuff out of the carpet - I can't imagine trying to get it off of a toddler noggin!
Oh, and the smell--I bet that was a bit tricky to get out!
